Frequently Asked Questions

What Shipping Methods do you use? Can you ship to Alaska, Hawaii, APOs and the US Territories?

We ship USPS Priority Mail mostly with some First Class Mail and UPS exceptions- (under 15.9 oz ships First Class and over 30" will typically ship UPS) which you can easily track through Etsy...well 90% of the time if the drivers remember to scan the packages. In a perfect world, we expect 2-3 day delivery times with USPS Priority and 3-5 day for First Class.

Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, APOs and the US Territories will have an additional shipping fee and can take 5-7 days longer. (Please see this listing to purchase the additional shipping charges associated with the number of pieces in your order.)

Do you accept cancellations, returns, or exchanges?

I do not accept cancellations if your order has started the design/cut process, and this can happen from 5 minutes to 24 hours after you have placed your order.

Since all items are cut to order, no refunds or exchanges are allowed...even if USPS is at fault.


The size of your piece you need is relative to the project you are working on, that is why I offer so many sizes. Take measurements ● BEFORE ● you place an order. It is too late to realize that it is too small or too big once it has been shipped.

What happens if my item is lost or it is delivered damaged?

We do not refund for any items that have been damaged or lost in transit. We will, however, REPLACE any damaged or lost items caused by shipping.
You will need to complete the steps below for damaged items:
a) Take a CLEAR photo of all the packaging that was around your piece.
b) Take a CLEAR, CLOSE-UP photo of the shipping label.
c) Take a CLEAR photo of the whole item on the box so that the shipping label can be seen.
d) Take a CLEAR, CLOSE-UP photo of the point of breakage.
e) Send all 4 of the photos to me through convo.
f) Once we have received these photos, your new piece will be cut and shipped.

What if I put the wrong address and I did not realize it until it was shipped?

If your item is returned back to us due to shipping issues or an incorrect address on Etsy, you will become responsible for additional shipping and handling to the updated address.

What material do you use for the metal cut outs?

We use 14 gauge (.075") Hot Rolled or Cold Rolled Steel and Marine Grade 0.090" Aluminum that are Made in the USA. The finish type you choose will dictate one or the other.
The Raw Mill Scale Metal, Industrial Finish, Copper/Mill Scale, and Powder Coated selections will be Hot Rolled Steel. All other finishes use the Cold Rolled Steel.

Tracking says it was delivered, but I can not find my package.

Be advised that typically, USPS/UPS will leave these packages at your door, or if they are small enough, in your mailbox. At no time does it become our responsibility if USPS/UPS shows that the package has been delivered, and it comes up missing. Most times, other family members have captured the packages, and brought them inside, but stranger things have happened. Please make sure that the address you give through Etsy for delivery of your package is a safe place to leave your items. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS/RECUTS FOR YOUR PURCHASE ONCE THE ITEMS SHOW TO HAVE BEEN DELIVERED. Also, you can contact your local USPS/UPS facility who will check with the driver for verification of where they have left the package.

Are shipping estimates guaranteed? Will I receive a tracking number when my order has shipped?

Priority Mail and First Class Mail through USPS and shipments by UPS are NOT GUARANTEED services. That means the delivery-time quotes given to us are estimates ONLY. USPS/UPS often changes their expected delivery date while your package is in transit if there are schedule changes that will prevent them from delivering on time.

You will receive a tracking number once your items have shipped. We ARE NOT responsible for UPS/USPS delays in shipping. Should you have concerns with regard to your package shipment timeline, please direct your inquiries to UPS (1-800-742-5877) / USPS (1-800-275-8777) and let their experts help you. We are certainly not the expert in their business, so we will always defer to them to answer their shipping questions.

Do you do custom orders?

I sure do:)

I am happy to help anyone achieve what they might have in mind. However, having to design from scratch or change any listing in any way to suit specific needs takes quite a bit of time. To insure that the requester is serious about purchasing a custom sign and has a clear understanding of the time it takes in this design process, this custom design work will only be started once we have discussed the small details, sizing, fonts, etc., and I have received payment for the custom order request. Please keep in mind, I do not offer refunds for any reason once the purchase has been made.

How can I hang my metal art piece? Does it come with wire or ribbon? How do I keep it from banging on my front door?

We are happy to add holes or a slot to your item to hang by nails. This is Easy to do and Free for you. Make sure to put that in your notes at checkout. Messages to add holes after checkout may not be read prior to cutting the piece.

Lighter items can be hung with command strips.

If you have a metal door, magnetic hooks may work as well depending on the size and weight.

Your purchase of the metal art does not come with ribbon, hangers, or wire.

3M, Scotch, etc. makes Clear Adhesive Bumpers that you can apply to the back to keep it from slamming loudly when closing your door.

I love the finish just as it looks in the photos. Can I get my finish exactly like the photo?

With the exception of the powder coated pieces, no two finishes are exactly alike. Not even the raw mill scaled cut outs will look the same. Your item will have it's own characteristics that allow the finishes to be bolder in some places and lighter in others. There is no way to exactly duplicate a finish. We will, however, use the same products that the finish you have chosen requires, and we will do our best to produce the same quality finish that you see in the photos.
